What is FSSAI?

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is a self-directed organization acknowledged under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The FSSAI has been established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 which is a consolidating statute related to food safety and regulation in India.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is headed by a non-executive Chairperson, appointed by the Central Government, either holding or has held the position of not below the rank of Secretary to the Government of India. Ashish Bahuguna is the present Leader for FSSAI and Pawan Kumar Agarwal is the current Chief Executive Officer for FSSAI.

The FSSAI has its headquarters in New Delhi. The expert also has 6 provincial offices located in Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Kolkata, Cochin, and Chennai.

 Following is the FSSAI Registration Fee:

FSSAI Registration Rs.100/- Per Year
FSSAI State License Rs. 2000-5000/- Per Year
FSSAI Central License Rs. 7500/- Per Year

FSSAI Registration Fees for state License:

Above 1MT per day production 5000
10,001 To 50,000 LPD of Milk 501 To 2500 Milk of solids per annum
Below 1 MT production 3000
501 To 10,000 LPD of Milk or 2.5 MT To 500MT of Solid per annum

The issue of Duplicate FSSAI Registration or License:

(1) Where a registering certification or certificate is lost, destroyed, torn, spoiled or hurt,
the applicant may apply for a duplicate copy of the registration certificate or license
during the validity period, attended with a payment amounting to 10% of the applicable
License fee.

(2) On receipt of such an application, the Licensing Authority shall grant a duplicate copy of
the registration certificate or license, as the case may be to the applicant with the term
“Duplicate” appearing prominently thereon.

Mode of Payment in Delhi

In Delhi, the FSSAI registration fees by an SBI Challan or online payment to the SBI bank account that is connected to the FSSAI website. You can find the bank details on their website and transfer the money accordingly. There is also a convenient option of depositing the money in their SBI bank account, and you can choose the method that best fits your convenience.
The payment shall be made by the Food Business Operator through SBI Bank Challan Online E Pay.
